Magical Uses: Oranges are an obvious sun symbol – use them in sun magic and solar rites. Associated with abundance, oranges make the perfect addition to spells for monetary success. Perfect for use in loose incense, bath salts, and sachets – orange blends well with a variety of other scents, particularly spicey ones for example cinnamon, allspice, ginger or clove. Decide on a theme for your incense or sachet and experiment with one of oranges compatible fragrances. Carry orange peel to improve your luck, vitality, and confidence. Orange peel is sometimes sprinkled under the mattress to improve fidelity in your relationship or added to sachets for the same purpose. Most often orange peels, and oranges in general, are in many cultures seen as symbols of good fortune and are believed to greatly increase prosperity and abundance. When you eat an orange, think of a question you want answered; it must be a yes or no question. Count the seeds in the orange, if they are of an even number the answer is no. If odd, yes. The dried peel and seeds are added to love sachets for wedded bliss. Orange peel is also added to prosperity powders, incenses and mixtures. Orange juice can be drunk in rituals in place of wine or ale. You can also make a pomander from an orange studded with cloves. Beyond smelling beautiful, these are a symbol of good luck, health, and protection. Magically, they can be used to attract good fortune and abundance.
These herbs, resins, roots, flowers, and powders are meant to be used for spell and ritual work not for human consumption.
